Sandra Ortiz has had a lifetime passion for fashion. From age 16, Sandra began purchasing stylish clothing for friends as a hobby while at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellin, Colombia studying Social Work.
Her hobby become more and more professional as her friends and classmates loved her choices and great eye for trends that she started selling clothing and expanding her clientele to nearby Universities.
After graduating in 2002, ambitious for more opportunities, Sandra moved to Miami, FL, where she worked in fashion retail, while learning English and the business of fashion. In January 2007, Sandra decided to take a leap of faith and start-up her hobby again of purchasing clothing and styling her friends and associates. Following her dream and realizing she was great at it, Sandra developed the beginning of MIAU Fashion.
Sandra quickly began working with Gen Art and Shecky’s, which specialized in shopping shows around the country. Learning quickly and growing rapidly, Sandra traveled across the US, to New York, the Hamptons, Boston, Dallas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Vegas and Miami, building her clientele and friendships with women that loved the clothing of MIAU Fashion.
Building on the success of the shows, Sandra knew that having an online presence would allow her to further capitalize her business by expanding her distribution. Sandra wanted to share the MIAU Fashion style with as many women and men as possible. The online boutique is the perfect way for MIAU Fashion to have long term relationships with all her customers she met during the nationwide shows.
Sandra loves interacting with her clients by learning their style, providing personal attention, and making custom choices based on these factors. MIAU Fashion also offers complimentary tailoring for her local Miami Clients as a valued added service. Her approach with MIAU Fashion makes each of her clients feel special and beautiful, as if they were being helped by a friend.
MIAU Fashion’s business principles are ensuring that each client is satisfied and comfortable with the clothing. Sandra, herself, even visits certain clients in their home, making it convenient for busy people or those getting ready for a special occasion. Sandra also lets certain clients come to the MIAU Fashion Showroom to enjoy the same service and attention of a personal shopper and stylist.
